Abstract
Superficial leiomyosarcoma accounts for 2.3% to 6.5% of all soft tissue asrcomas. Cutaneous leiomyosarcoma is even more rare and it originates entirely from the corium and has a better prognosis than the sudcutaneous type. Its clinical
sconfiguration is
a round to oval, more or less hemispherical elevation of the skin, but the apperance of these lesions is not distinctive so that the diagnosis is established by the histologic findings. Microscopically the cutaneous leiomyosarcoma developed in a
69-year-old male which was 2X2 cm sized, firm and hard nodules on the left hypothenae area for about 3 months and present this case with the review of literature. (Kor J Dermatol 1995;33(2) : 358~362)
